Big Bears Room

Welcome to our Big Bears room which is for children from around 3 years to 5 years in their academic school year. The room is based on the ground floor of the nursery with a separate sensory and cosy area.

We understand the vital importance of School Readiness in all children. To help embed this we have registration circle time twice per day, self-service at meal and snack times, independence throughout the bathroom routines, all alongside many other confidence building strategies.

At Abacus Nursery we encourage all our wonderful children to gain life skills and independence to ensure they are ready to take their next big steps as they grow.

We have all areas set out and adapted for all children’s interests and ages and stages of development, ensuring close links with parents and carers to support the transition from nursery to school.
